Log in to the SYSTEM account, or an account with /                  similar privileges and quotas.   D               2. You should read this informationC               before installing any of the devices, and should take D               the appropriate action to prepare the devices you wishB               to install. Ensure that the hardware and software is1               correctly installed and configured.            1.3.1 DMF32   E               Please note that the DMF32 driver shipped with this kit E               contains changes over the version of the driver shipped G               with VMS versions V5.0, V5.0-1, V5.0-2, V5.1, and V5.1-1. E               You must therefore reinstall the DMF32 driver from this A               kit, after installing any of these versions of VMS.            1.3.2 DSB32   C               Before loading the DSB32 device driver and microcode, G               please make sure that there is at least 64K bytes of free +               nonpaged pool on your system.            1.3.3 DSF32   G               To prepare a DSF32 device for installation, you must make G               sure you are using the prerequisite operating system: VMS H               version V5.4-1 or above and FTSS V1.1 or above. The driverE               requires the SYSGEN parameter SPTREQ to be set to 4000, F               to ensure that at least 560 contiguous System Page Table,               Entries (SPTEs) are available.  G               The driver also requires the support software supplied in F               WANDD$SERVICES to be installed. You invoke this softwareG               by editing the SF$STARTUP.COM file provided in the kit to G               include the appropriate commands. Please refer to the VAX F               WAN Device Drivers Failover Set Management manual for an,               explanation of SF$STARTUP.COM.  %         1-2 Installation Preparations                           1.3.4 DSH32 and DST32   F               To prepare the DSH32 and DST32 devices for installation,3               you should be aware of the following:   C               If you are running a VMS version earlier than V5.4-1:   G               o  You can only install the DSH32/DST32 driver which does $                  not support BISYNC.  F               o  VMS versions V5.0 and V5.1 do not contain autoconfig-F                  uration support for the DST32 and DSH32 drivers. As aG                  result, a command file to load the drivers is provided E                  with this kit, and will be installed if the DSH32 or G                  DST32 device is selected during installation. The file A                  is installed as SYS$MANAGER:SYNC$DSH32_LOAD.COM.   ?                  The system manager should add an invocation of B                  this file to the site-specific VMS system startupF                  procedures, before the startup of any Digital layeredB                  products that will use the DSH32 or DST32 device.  B               o  There is no VMS autoconfiguration support for theC                  DSH32 or DST32 unit ZSA1:. This means that the DCL F                  command SHOW DEVICE ZSA will only display unit ZSA0:.C                  You should configure the second unit by adding the E                  following line to the file SYS$MANAGER:SYCONFIG.COM:   '                  $RUN SYS$SYSTEM:SYSGEN   '                  CONNECT ZSA1/NOADAPTER   =               If you are running VMS version V5.4-1 or above:   E               o  The BISYNC version of the DSH32/DST32 driver will be                   installed.   F               This version of the driver requires the SYSGEN parameter?               SPTREQ to be set to 4000, to ensure that at least B               560 contiguous SPTEs are available.
