MX V5.2 ECO 03 Kit README

Starting with MX V5.2, ECO kits are installed using VMSINSTAL:

   $ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL ECO03_MX052 dev:[dir]

The ECO03_MX052.A file in this kit contains the complete installation
saveset for use with VMSINSTAL.

If you run MX in a mixed-architecture VMScluster environment, you
must install this kit on one system of each architecture (VAX, Alpha)
in order for these changes to be effective.

Changes Included in ECO 03

  1) MCP (new image)
     Make the /NODE qualifier default to the current node when no value is specified.  [ECO 02, 15-Mar-2001]

  2) MXCONFIG (new file)
     Correct missing [.0] subdirectory when queue is created. [ECO 02, 15-Mar-2001]

  3) MX_LOCAL (new image)
     Correct the forwarding routine so it correctly reports delivery status when an error occurs. [ECO 02, 15-Mar-2001]

  4) MX_MAILSHR (new image)
     Restore the MX_MAILSHR_IGNORE_8BIT logical name to bypass encoding of 8-bit characters. [ECO 03, 23-Apr-2001]

  5) MX_MAILSHRP (new image)
     Restore the MX_MAILSHR_IGNORE_8BIT logical name to bypass encoding of 8-bit characters. [ECO 03, 23-Apr-2001]

  6) MX_MLF (new image)
     Correct the /IGNORE=MISSING check so that it works with -Digest postings. [ECO 01, 10-Mar-2001]
     Correct ACCVIO when a message without a From: header is sent to the MXserver address. [ECO 02, 15-Mar-2001]

  7) MX_ROUTER (new image)
     Restore the MX_MAILSHR_IGNORE_8BIT logical name to bypass encoding of 8-bit characters. [ECO 03, 23-Apr-2001]

  8) MX_SHR (new image)
     Restore the MX_MAILSHR_IGNORE_8BIT logical name to bypass encoding of 8-bit characters. [ECO 03, 23-Apr-2001]

  9) MX___STARTUP (new file)
     Create any missing FLQ subdirectories on startup, to work around MXCONFIG.COM problem. [ECO 02, 15-Mar-2001]

 10) SMTP_SERVER (new image)
     Correct an ACCVIO error in anti-spam debug logging code. [ECO 01, 10-Mar-2001]
