Still i say a bullet in his head, or a mamba sent in his bathroom, or at least we can send drones around his house and send longhaired Scientologists outside his house saying "dirty hippie and pervert move out!".. The one who kicked me off was that twat Bob Lennon. Hope he never gets any money from his band. HAHAH I make myself laugh. So far Nate Gilbert and Mary Ann has replied to my posts on this all fresh "new" BOC-l. I started on Lovecraft but it was too archaic and i wasnt in the mood to be some slow reading dreary old wartbag. But i did love Burgess "A Clockwork Orange" in 2012 in a week with the extended ending. Thats beat stuff in a sense, yet punk yet SF. Loved the film for 30 years whatever of course. I also started on Brunner "The Compete Traveller In Black" but i bailed after first chapter. I also read all i could by Douglas Adams when i was 14-15 cause i wanted to figure out the Infocom text computer game, i always died in the airlock near the start!!! THE thing is all i can do these days is listen to music cause i am animated like an android and walk around like a robot and androids well they dont feel or like to read books. All i do is sit around with my worn Tibetan Book Of The Dead and dart about with demons in Bardo and then go to The Egyptian one and realise Christ was a Pharaoh style solar dude man, they even mention him in there. The FESTIVALIZED book by Ian Abrahams and Bridget Wishart i leafed thru Penny Rimbeaud, Judge Trev, Mick Farren, Nik Turners passages but not cover to cover. I wish everything to anyone i could just lay around and absorb knowledge and become more powerful in doing so but all i can concentrate is music. So i buy music for $400 a month or 600 maybe and just sit around with tons of Vinyl and CDs and smoke. I still havent read all my old "Squadron Supreme" 1985 Marvels i got or my Bryan Talbot "Brainstorm!" book my brother in NYC got me a few years ago. And i cant read Hawkfan anymore cause a) Brian hates Nik and gets all wussy and angry and kicks your post off on his FB forum if ya EVEN mention Nik, and b) cause all Hawkfan has been the past 6 years has been Yule or Hawkeaster reports twice a year like "me, Anne and Dibs" and blahahahablah. No art, no comix, just long winded Hawkfest stuff with pics of Anne and Brian Hawk so and so well i'll be damned! BTW my bookwormish Deadhead pothead/migraine medicine popper friend Mary Ann Sullivan Bruce, i wish i could listen to audio books but i CANNOT its gotta be music. I cant read or play music but i am one hell of dancer. Christian -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Well it got me going on the BOC & relations collecting and enjoyment factor... i dont know how much Joe contributed to the 2 Blue Coupe CDs but i dig them totally. I think it was that i was friends with John Shirley on FB and that link popped up and i am friends with Bouchard bros. as well. Joe is even dedicating each CD to each person who orders one like a little bracket with the order "your name" and you get a free guitar pick or sumptin. I dont pick guitars (but my ass? my nose? pick mushrooms?)... Afraid if its a touchy subject, but are they like CD-R type and Inkjet desktop cover things or what? the cover photo montage and website looks like home cooked Corel Draw disaster 1989 or something. But hey i dont doubt the music is suffering - after all BOC were the real deal. And Joe was all on massive stadiums worldwide, whatnot so he knows... BTW I mentioned in a trillionth post ago (i am chilling with the Bad company here onlist) 2OC are playing here in Norway in august but i think it sold out already. Wanna go but Eric & Buck & the rest might miss my Oysterous company on their only ever Norwegian gig so far? Same venue i saw Hawkwind in 2014 in the town of Drammen outside Oslo.... Union Scene in Drammen has gotten to be like a huge rock n roll party town center now for bigger bands in medium/small venues. And all the bikers camp out in Drammen, Bandidos or whatever. Plus its got a huge percentage of teenage gothic people who hang around the comic store (Outland) and tattoo parlor there (Leading Light). In Joe we trust... (helps hamburgers?) C PS: maybe i should surf over to Discogs for some Joe Bouchard discography diving around. One thing is for sure - Joe's talents were NOT served being in BOC. I'd recommend his solo album Tales from an Island. Rape Robots in the streets, A Social Alliance are you in distress? I see this there are Temple broadcasts and there are Military base broadcasts. Like PRESSUREHED "I Predict" about the secret bases in old Soviet Union where telepathic children are testing broadcasts. I did this all my life as a Military Test for ESP gifted children, and i still do ... my FM shows and artwork are "part of the media" as i see Technocracy and High artforms only for higher Castes in India for example, the Media enabled Caste who are in the Now-Future Nirvana we have reached of internet and radio and TV. Now that anyone has internet everything is just mass feed, but meditate for awhile and realise the internet, like in Terminator, Skynet, Fishet, Dragnet, Hornet is ALIVE and the Temple airwaves are ESP. Genesis P-Orridge is a telepath, anyone who recieves his signals are his Temple slaves or just street Goths eavesdropping on his Psychic Youth Broadcasts. I have many times been infiltrated by passing Temple Transmissions years ago before i really started Kali Militia Street Temple broadcasts myself. So just space cadet talk, but EBS and those broadcasts from Hawkwind reached me.. in books, comics, CDs, in ESP. So next time you hear voices dont call it madness. Call it High Caste. An old Rob halfordish dandy homosexual in Leather hat sitting at the end of the bar sipping a Very Large rum & coke suddenly moves like a Gay Ninja Serpent down to the Priest who ordered a bag of salted peanuts and a glass of water that looks like englishmen pissed in it, and says "hey i can tell you, just read the Victorias Secret catalog and you get plenty of skimpy Queens and leggins showin, only in lingerie, its suitable to view for Coal Miners... and Black Priests". The priest says "wanna come over to my place, eh, nudge nudge wink wink". The gay leather dude says sure, and tips the bartender a 100 Quid note. The bartender says "Strewth matey, i can fly to Phuket and buy a little Thai boy fun fun for that money" - the Leatherman says "hit the Beach urchin prostitute in Phuket, its on me, you fuckin Nonce!". So the leather dude says to the priest "hey we will make sweet music as we scream and moan as we ram it down the Hardcore Power Tool and pop the poopoo on you, old Pope, making sweet Church music on the Altar". And thus, Manhood was proven amongst Queens. Meanwhile in USA, the Unabomber is preparing to blow up The Tower of London with Dynamite and blame it on Muslim pedophiles from ISIS. And so Judas And Priest made London Leather Love... they even got married in Reno and adopted a Rumanian Vampire urchin they raised to be the new Elvis Presley of The East Bloc. As I remarked to a friend (and the owner of the host servers), I'm not quite sure if it happens because he's started up on drugs or he's stopped taking them. In any event, I would like some input from the list community as a whole - are you comfortable with / welcoming of his on-going rants or shall I, once again, place him on moderated status (with, honestly, the expected result of my probably not letting anything from him through). Please note: 1) this is going to the list as a whole, so he's seeing this as well; 2) feel free to respond either privately or publicly; 3) this truly is an honest request for input. There is, basically, nothing else that happens on this list, so I feel like, on the one hand, letting him rant on isn't necessarily "bad". On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that this wasn't what most of you were looking for. And then, finally, on the gripping hand (look up "The Mote in God's Eye", by Larry Niven, for explanation), there's even the question of whether the BOC-L list should continue as a list at all. It certainly seems that, with nothing to discuss ... it might even be time to allow it to peacefully pass into the night. Please - consider the discussion now open. Hawkwind and loads of spinoff acts and people keep putting out stuff on large and small labels, often just fan supported type and Hawkwind, though never as big and glitzy rawk act as BOC at their peak, they have such a larger grassroots fanbase with psych collectors, rave culture, old progheads as well as newer Stoner rock fans whatnot. BOC + HW together dont nearly touch a new Black Sabbath album sales wise i would assume. Sales are measured in both download and physical. If BOC put out vinyl people would rush to collect no doubt. So you make a record either because you just feel like it (and can afford to do so!), or because you are promoting live shows. If B?C are doing all right from their current concerts, then the incentive to make a new record is much reduced. :/ Similarly, Black Sabbath probably did fairly well (by contemporary standards) with the recent _13_ album ? but there can hardly be any doubt that they make far more money with the giganto-tours (playing oldies). I like to hear new music (from B?C, or Hawkwind [who have at least released some!], or Sabbath, or whoever), but clearly I?m in the minority! LOL Even though the new HW album is apparently doing relatively well in the charts, I would bet their bills are being paid by the concert dates. I'm sure the numbers are in the 1000s in order to get to #29 as well. Whereas 10 years ago it would have been in the 10,000s or even 100,000s of sales to achieve that chart position. I imagine Hawkwind make their new albums on the cheap -- in their home studio or something on the order of 50$US an hour. (I follow various producers and mixers, etc. involved with recording on Facebook, YouTube, all those places, and a [almost wearyingly ;) ] common refrain from all the pros is about how recording budgets simply disappeared after the ?90s or in the early 2000s. No one can afford to spend a lot of money on recording, these days. Luckily, you can now do a lot for less. Even a frickin? total amateur like me can produce home-recordings that do not sound embarrassingly bad. :) People who know a lot more than me can make what are essentially home-recording that sound as good as about anything else you?ll hear.) But, as noted, the money to be made is really no longer in selling records (or ?recorded music?): it?s in concert tickets and T-shirts. Established acts may be able to more readily afford the production of a new album, but it?s essentially a promotional item for their concert tour (on which set-lists are likely to be dominated by the back-catalog). Up-and-coming bands need recorded music to get online attention, but that attention then needs to be translated into ticket and merchandise sales if they are to remain going concerns. Either way, no one is likely to make a lot of money from selling recorded music ? though you might keep it together by putting bums on seats and shirts on torsos. ;) In short, to make money from music these days ? whether a lot, or even just a little ? you gotta gig. I've been on lists where nothing would be posted for weeks, sometimes months, and then some relevant conversation would start up, and that's I think the most logical way for a thematic list to function. So yes, I'd rather have long spells of silence than an endless mess of nonsense. > there's even the question of whether > the BOC-L list should continue as a list at all. Now that old metal, thrash in particular, has had a huge "revival" with younger people, bands like Toxik Holocuast, Amon Amarth etc. and older and newer bands headline on massive Metal Festivals, why do BOC wait 15 years or longer to put out an album (the next?). People are hipper to Vinyl now more than ever too. Do BOC just want to be a greatest hits act and remain obscure or what? They are in Norway in August, and i think the gig is sold out, otherwise i would go (an 45 min. away in Drammen, abit hard to get to with public transport tho, from where i am). Hawkwind played there in 2014. Then again in Oslo at a Psych Fest in the autumn. I am sure every old biker and rocker will go and see BOC in Drammen, its their only ever Norway gig so far.
