I started doing Spacerock / Psychedelic FM Oslo area broadcast shows in the late 1990's (first 4 shows in 1998), guesting on TOPP RADIO "TARKUS" Prog show, and RADIORAKEL's "UH?RT" show, where i did 2 6 hour all night Hawkwind specials in October 1999, but did not do any more from '00-06, but started again for the second half of 2006 on RadiOrakel FM 99,3, and returned for several Uh?rt shows in '09-12. Nowadays as then, i host the shows LIVE from the "BLITZ" squat in the very center of Oslo that, well, STARTED as a squat 30 years ago but is now subsidised house of youth culture and a feminist / anarchist radio station called RadiOrakel. The thing is we in UH?RT program, play the cool stuff the lesbian teenagers don't play! Lots of fun we have with airwaves and brainwaves and all kinds of new waves!! Website for radiorakel: http://www.radiorakel.no I DID ABOUT 30 SHOWS 2009-2012 but these are the ONLY ONES i uploaded for sharing At The Moment. I have more playlists and will upload some more broadcasts in the near future. UH?RT 26/09/09: DAY OF THE AMON DUUL II SHOW IN OSLO: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3591358/00%20UH%C3%98RT260909.mp3 01. In fact, I put together lists for the previous two years to try to catch up a little, as I hadn't really been contributing anything much to A-I.com these past few years (too damn lazy).? So in case you or anyone else wants to discover a few more newish things, here you go. I like looking at these lists - lots of times I see things there I didn't even know came out.? Already, I have learned that Norway's Seid reunited with a new album, I didn't even know gybe! This one I found at Roadburn, where they have a huge page full of reader-submitted lists.? Resident boc-ler Scott Heller has a list up at his own personal blog too, which has a bunch of stuff that I have never heard too.? Lots of good stuff coming out these days - hard to keep up. You're not exaggerating! Bilston Robin 2 and The Duchess in York are on the regular classic rock circuit. Half the other venues I've never heard of. And that's a strange geographical spread, all in the midlands or the north. Nowhere in the south, and no London date. It's a mix of some basic and bland mainstream pop with rap bits thrown in *cringes*. What caught my ear, though, were the lyrics. They tell the story of a couple who are very much in love and have been together for something like 5 years when the girl learns that she has a "weak heart", that it's a terminal condition and that she needs a donor... Ring any bells yet? I was thinking no way! It's not going there... Well, it did. In the end, the guy leaves a note for her then goes jump off a bridge so that his heart can be given to the girl. If you haven't figured it out yet, it's A LOT like Buck Dharma's "Your loving heart" on his solo album (my favorite track on that)... so much so that I'm truly baffled. And now I just have to wonder... what are the chances of this being some freakish coincidence?? For the curious minded (or the sadistic, ahem) it's called "Coup de coeur" and is sung by Kenza Farah, featuring rapper Soprano as the suicidal fellow. Among them is a Pink Fairies "The Snake"; Mot?rhead "Vibrator" etc. Also is Blue ?yster Cult's "ME 262" and on this track Tesco does the "systems check ground control to pilot" thing from "Ejection" as the intro. Super cool! I remember back in the 90s Meatmen covered BOC's "Hot Rails To Hell" many times, like on the mid 90s "Pope On A Rope" album, but Cover The Earth has to be a crowning achievment yet unmatched.
