I caught the Columbus show last Saturday night....bloody loud as usual, and
a fun gig...at 90 minutes, about the longest I've seen them play except for
the 25th reunion show at the Academy 10/22/00. Pretty sizeable energetic
crowd full of drunken riffraff (not even counting the three on stage) as
should be the case. Some songs in the set that I can remember...Metropolis,
No Class, Bomber, Nothing Up My Sleeve, Doctor Rock (cool), Just 'cause you
got the power..., Iron Fist, Sacrifice, Going to Brazil, Ramones, Born to
Raise Hell, God Save the Queen, We Are Motorhead, and a couple new ones I
don't know. Encore of Ace of Spades and Overkill (I think?). Didn't get
Stay Clean for the first time ever I think.
Lemmy was playing a new Rickenbacker I'd never seen before...is this the new
signature model? It was kinda wine-colored, not like the plain wood shade
he always seemed to play before. Sounded the same anyway...
