OFF: Nearfest

Just got back from the Nearfest...Nektar kicked ass...big time!! Opened with
Tab in the Ocean. They did all of Recycled...Remember the Future..parts of
Journey..standing ovations after every song....Nellie the Elephant played
live for the first time ever with extra percussionist doing the Calvert
parts...finished with Finnicky Queen.....best show I've seen in years!  Light
show was real cool but muted due to extra lights needed for DVD
filming...similar to the Hawks Live Legend vid..

Also saw Caravan...very pleasant set...Steve Hackett was lame IMHO (not my
cup of tea) but the crowd loved em...
