Technically, he ran as a Reform Party (Ross Perot's party) candidate,
but that was just a matter of convenience...  relations were reportedly
strained between him and Perot, since Perot did not help them financially
when they needed it (apparently also didn't think he'd win), or even
help them secure a loan...
