Wasn't it from the Internet Oracle, who demanded an obsequious (sp?)
grovel ("Oh mighty Oracle, whose knowledge trancends time and space,
please answer me this trivial query..." or something along those
lines)? This then ended up as "Obligatory Grovel, please tell me...",
then shortened to "ObGrovel". Hence Ob = Obligatory.

Examples being
ObCurryHouse: Stratford Tandoori
ObCD: Pink Fairies - Kings of Oblivion
ObThingtodowhendrunk: Go to ObCurryHouse...

etc etc etc

Of course, this could all be a load of foetid dingo's kidneys.

Cheers,

Rich.

ObThingToDoOnMonday: Come to my birthday.
