hi,
this is (IMHO) _Out and Intake_ decoded:

----------------------------------------
Studio outtakes (from at least two different takings):
Turner Point
Cajun Jinx x
Starflight x
Ejection
Assassins of Allah x
Flight to Maputo x
Confrontation x

The liner notes on both vinyl and various CD's talks about "Recorded and
Mixed at Rockfield Studios", while the compilation _Night of the Hawks_
(where "x" marked tracks appear on CD) tells us those tracks "was recorded
at Rockfield in 1987"

Rythm section on all tracks above (but the first and Starflight) is
Davey/Thompson. Turner Point sounds different and has another lineup than
the others, according to liner notes on the vinyl. Musicians is the somewhat
strange combination of Brock/Bainbridge/Griffin/Thompson/Turner which might
explain the strange track itself. I doubt this is recorded at the same time
the others was.

---------------------------------------
Live from unconfirmed date and venue, possibly
Bristol - Colston Hall - 1982.10.31 - musicians: BR/BA/LL/GR/TU
Waiting for Tomorrow
Solitary Mind Games
5/4
Ghost Dance

***Codex Alert:
first 20 secs of 5/4 is actually a turbo version of "The Scan", last 25 secs
is same "Scan" in backword masking mode!

---------------------------------------
CD only, and with Mike Moorcock guesting at
London - Hammersmith Odeon - 1982.11.12 - musicians: BR/BA/LL/GR/TU/MO
Coded Languages
Warrior of the Edge of Time

----------------------------------------------
According to the Codex, none of these versions appear elsewhere than the
five tracks on the _NotH_ compilation. This item is "original" the same way
_Zones_ is it, and I classify both releases as "Main Items".

The "Town - Venue - Date" and musician things above is stolen form the work
of Bernhard, and the Codex information originates from - as you know -
Edinburgh.

best - \\joe
