Terminal Server Manager (TSM) V2.1-09 
	Web Distribution Kit TSM_README.TXT

	This is a remastered kit containing TSM V2.1-09. It contains all
	of the fixes included in TSM V2.1 ECOs 1 through 9, as well as
	a modern set of documentation available in PDF format, as Post-
	Script files have become an anachronism in the 25 years since
	ECO 9 was released.

	The updating of this kit and documentation was performed by
	Teresa Kennedy <terri-decus@glaver.org> and should not be con-
	sidered an official DEC / Compaq / HP distribution. However, it
	was built from the last TSM sources before TSM was discontinued.

	The files in TSM021.ZIP are as follows:

		TSM021_DCX_VAX.EXE
		TSM021_DCX_AXP.EXE
		TSM_PAK.COM
		TSM_README.TXT

	The TSM_PAK.COM file will register and load a License Management
	Facility (LMF) Product Authorization Key (PAK) for TSM. You may or
	may not need to execute this VMS command file, depending on the 
	presence of an existing TSM license in the LMF database. Install
	the TSM PAK (if needed) with the following command:

		$ @TSM_PAK.COM

	The TSM021_DCX_VAX.EXE file is an OpenVMS / VAX executable file.
	To extract the contents on a VAX system, run it.  

		$ RUN TSM021_DCX_VAX.EXE	

	The TSM021_DCX_AXP.EXE file is an OpenVMS / AXP executable file.
	To extract the contents on a Alpha system, run it.  

		$ RUN TSM021_DCX_AXP.EXE

	You will get a resultant file (name dependent on what you told 
	the decompression utility to use for an output file name), which
	is an OpenVMS BACKUP saveset.

		e.g. TSM021.SAV

	Create a working directory, for example:

		$ CREATE/DIRECTORY [.TSM]

	Don't do this in an area (default directory) that is a VMS 
	LOGICAL that uses those funky VMS search lists.  Examples of 
	this are:

		SYS$MANAGER: and SYS$UPDATE:
	
	Extract the saveset into the working directory:

		$ BACKUP TSM021.SAV/SAVE [.TSM...]

	Then execute the OpenVMS installation procedure in the normal 
	fashion:

		$ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL

	The location of the kit directory should be the fully specified
	path to the [.KIT] subdirectory in the working directory you
	created (e.g. DKA100:[JOE.TSM.KIT]).  Don't specify the path
	using system logicals for the disk; use the disk device name.

	The softcopy manuals are to be found in the [.DOCUMENTATION]
	subdirectory of the working directory that you created
	(e.g. DKA100:[JOE.TSM.DOCUMENTATION]).
